Stylam's 5-Year Environmental Transformation

We are on the verge of an exciting phase with the establishment of our third manufacturing plant. This facility not only stands as a testament to being the most advanced laminate manufacturing plant in India but also incorporates additional features aimed at enhancing the sustainability aspects of our existing manufacturing facilities.

Focus on Renewable Energy Utilization

With a commitment to harnessing renewable energy, both existing and new plants boast significant potential for solar rooftop power generation. The existing plant has the capacity to generate 3 MW, while the new plant is anticipated to yield 2.5 MW of power. Together, these facilities aim to produce about 9 million units of electricity annually, considering 300 days of quality sunlight. Any surplus of power generated will contribute to the state's power grid. This strategic step aligns with our goal of fostering a cleaner and greener environment.

The anticipated power generation from solar panels is expected to mitigate approximately 3500 MT of CO 2 emissions. This reduction is equivalent to removing about 2000 cars from the road for one year.

Shift to Natural Gas for Heating

In the coming year, a transition from non-renewable energy sources for heaters to natural gas (PNG) is planned for both existing and new manufacturing facilities. This shift to cleaner fuel is geared towards reducing the carbon footprint of our manufacturing processes. Natural gas, as a heating fuel, produces approximately 50% fewer emissions than coal..

100% Shift to Electric Vehicles

Within the next year, Stylam will complete the transition from diesel forklifts to electric-operated forklifts across all manufacturing facilities. This move is expected to significantly impact CO 2 emissions. Over a 5-year period, a diesel forklift emits approximately 36 tonnes of CO 2 , while an electric forklift will emit only 0.99 tonnes over the same period. This shift represents a substantial reduction of about 800 MT of CO 2 emissions over five years.

This comprehensive action plan reflects Stylam's unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, setting the stage for a transformative journey towards an eco-friendlier future.
